디즈니랜드와 도쿄 디즈니랜드, 매직 킹덤에 위치한 시설로 5[1]/8[2]인승 통나무 보트를 타고 영화 남부의 노래의 이야기 속으로 떠나는 다크 후룸라이드 어트렉션이다.
2. 애니매트로닉스
애너하임 디즈니랜드의 스플래쉬 마운틴의 대부분의 애니매트로닉스들은 1974년에 문을열고 1988년에 문을 닫은 '아메리카 싱즈[3]'에 있었다. # 위의 어트렉션의 대부분 애니매트로닉스를 스플래쉬 마운틴에 사용한 것이다. 도쿄 디즈니랜드와 매직킹덤의 애니매트로닉스는 디즈니랜드 A-100을 기반으로한 레플리카다.[4] 매직킹덤에 있는 부틸보이즈와 족제비, 디즈니랜드의 burrow lement파트에 있는 토끼무리와 주머니쥐 매직킹덤 laughing place를 부르는 아기 주머니쥐, 피날레 보트 옆에서 노래부르는 브레어 프로그는 아메리카 싱즈 출신이다.
1970년대에 만들어진 애니매트로닉스들임에도 현재 기준으로 봐도 질과 움직임이 매우 좋은편이데 1950년 월트 디즈니에 의해 오디오 애니메트로닉스 상표가 디즈니사의 특허로 등록되어있기 때문이다. 디즈니랜드 버전은 지금도 조금 부자연스럽다.
3. 이용안내
상당히 유명한 시설이기 떼문에 대기줄이 장난아니게 길다. 보통 1~2시간은 기본이고 심하면 '''4~5시간'''까지 가기도한다. 내부 큐라인이 상당히 긴편인데 이 긴 큐라인도 넘어갈정도로 줄이 긴 경우가 잦다. 후룸라이드 기종이라서 보트 안으로 물이 튄다. 매직킹덤과 도쿄 디즈니랜드의 기종은 안전문제로 안전바가 2015년에 생겼으나 애너하임 디즈니랜드는 1989년부터 지금까지 쭉 안전바가 없기 때문에 손잡이를 꽉잡고 이용해야한다.
4. 노래
영화 남부의 노래의 OST이다. 하지만 마지막 하강 구간 전의 음악은 원작에 등장하지 않으며 스플래쉬 마운틴 고유의 음악이다.

해당 사운드트랙은 애너하임 디즈니랜드에서만 재생된다.
아메리카 싱즈에 있었던 주머니쥐와 토끼무리들이 부른다.
위 노래 이후 디즈니랜드, 해당노래가 안나오는 매직킹덤과 도쿄 디즈니랜드는 치커핀 힐즈에서 이 노래와 함께 부틸보이즈가 나온다.

5. 여담
- 애너하임 디즈니랜드와 매직킹덤의 기종은 피날레 구간의 위쪽에 디즈니랜드 레일로드의 선로가 있어서 스플래쉬 마운틴을 타면서 위에서 열차가 지나다니는 모습을 볼수있고 반대로 열차에서도 스플래쉬 마운틴 피날레 구간의 전경을 잠깐이지만 볼수 있다. 이것도 시간이 맞아야 볼수있다.
- 낙하구간에서 떨어질때 수로에서 물을 뿜는다. 정작 떨어지는 중인 사람은 맞지 않지만 생각보다 수압이 세서 하강 구간 옆의 상승 대기구간까지 물이 튄다. 2020~2021년 부터는 마스크 착용이 의무화가 되어 케스트 맴버에 의해 켰다 꺼졌다 하고있다. 하강시 보면 물안개 효과도 있다.
- 매직킹덤과 도쿄 디즈니랜드는 다크라이드 구간이 상당히 길지만 디즈니랜드는 다크라이드 구간이 생각보다 짧고 빠르게 어간다.
- 도쿄 디즈니랜드의 기종은 대부분의 애니매트로닉스 배치와 트랙이 좌우반전이며 시설 전체가 상대적으로 깔끔하다. 그리고 못보던 개 애니메트로닉스가 추가되어있다.
- 마지막 하강이후 피날레 구간 진입전 매직킹덤은 컨베이어벨트로 마지막 5번째 하강을 시켜주고 디즈니랜드는 깊은 물에서 컨베이어벨트가 올라와 전방을 가로막았따가 내려서 떠내려보낸다. 하강횟수가 디즈니랜드가 더 적은 이유다.
- 아메리카 싱즈의 애니매트로닉스들을 재활용한 특성상 원작 내의 전개와 라이드 내의 전개가 상당히 다르다.[6] 그래도 어찌저찌 끼워맞춰서 자리를 잘 잡기는 했으며 이는 매직킹덤과 도쿄 디즈니랜드의 기종에서도 그대로 적용되었다. 현재 애니메트로닉스들이 노후화로 느릿느릿하거나 멈춰있는 모습을 보인다.
- 2021년 1월 19일, 매직킹덤의 스플래쉬 마운틴이 리뉴얼이 되었다 # 틸트 보트와 Laughing place구간의 분수터널이 리뉴얼됬다.
- 2020년들어 미국의 인종차별 문제가 심해지자, 스플래쉬 마운틴을 공주와 개구리 테마로 리뉴얼하는 계획을 짰다. 디즈니랜드와 매직킹덤의 기종만 해당되며 도쿄 디즈니랜드의 기종은 해당되지 않는다. 하지만 2021년 들어 해당 리뉴얼 계획에 관한 소식이 뜸해졌고 상술했듯 매직킹덤의 스플래쉬 마운틴이 리뉴얼 후 재개장했기에 이 프로젝트가 시행될지는 아직 미지수이다.
- 후룸라이드이기 때문에 우천시에도 멀쩡히 운행하지만 겨울에는 동계운휴를 한다.
- Animators took over 80 hours to synchronize each figure. To re-wire and test each figure took an additional three months before the attraction could open, as programmers were tasked with having to make characters "forget" their old America Sings settings and then perform with a decent level of realism in accordance with the new settings. Each character can carry out 45 seconds of movement and dialogue before a loop function restarts the sequence from the beginning.
