본명은 마이클 데이비드 로젠버그. 포크 록을 중심으로 하는 1984년 5월 17일생 현재 만 36세인 영국 싱어송라이터이다. 2007년 정규 앨범 'Wicked Man`s Rest'로 데뷔했다. 첫 앨범은 5인조로 활동했지만, 앤드류 필립스가 밴드에서 나가면서 현재는 원맨밴드가 되어있다.
같은 이름의 영화와는 전혀 관련이 없다.
2017년 1월 7일 내한공연을 왔다.
