스웨덴의 락 밴드 Blue Swede(블루 스위드)가 1974년 2월 발매한 싱글이다.
2. 상세
특유의 "우가차차"하는 챈트로 유명하며, 스웨덴 아티스트의 곡으로는 최초로 빌보드 핫 100 1위를 차지한 곡이라는 타이틀도 보유를 하고 있다.
흔히 스웨덴 음악으로서 미국에서 제일 처음 성공한 아티스트는 ABBA라고 생각하기 쉽지만, 이들이 먼저다.
그러나 이 곡은 이들의 원곡은 아니고, 미국 가수 B.J. Thomas가 1968년 말 발매한 곡이 원조이다. B.J. Thomas의 버전도 핫 100 5위까지 오른 바 있다.
원곡괴 달리 전주에 Ooga Chaka Ooga Ooga하는 목소리가 들어있으며 곡조도 한 층 신나게 리메이크되었다.
