Outlandos d'Amour의 첫 번째 싱글.
앨범 첫 번째 싱글로 발매된 곡.
Every Breath You Take와 함께 폴리스를 대표하는 곡이라고 할정도로 유명한 노래이다. 빼도박도 못할 펑크 록이었던 이전 곡과는 다르게 이 곡에서부터 적극적으로
레게를 차용했다. 공연 투어 중에 거리를 배회하는
매춘부를 보고 영감을 얻어 만든 노래로, 가사는 화자가 사랑에 빠진 매춘부에게
몸을 파는 것을 그만두라고 애원하는 내용을 담고 있다. 처음 발매 되었을 때는 큰 반향을 불러 일으키지 못했지만, 미국 라디오에서 좀 알려지면서 차츰차츰 순위가 오르게 된다. 이후 BBC의 Top of the pops에 출연해 이곡을 부르면서 더욱 유명세를 타게 되었다.
인트로에 잠깐 나오는 피아노 음과 웃음소리는 의도적인 게 아니라 스팅이 피아노에 덮개가 열려 있는 지도 모르고 걸터 앉는 바람에 소리나서 멋쩍게 웃은 것이 그대로 녹음된 것이다.(...)
