Steady as the Beating Drum
1. 개요
1995년 개봉한 디즈니 애니메이션 포카혼타스의 OST. 앨런 멩컨이 작곡, 스티븐 슈왈츠가 작사를 맡았으며, 포와탄 추장 역의 짐 커밍스가 노래를 불렀다.
작중에서 아메리카가 처음 등장하는 장면에서 그 곳에 사는 포와탄 부족의 삶을 보여주는 노래이다. 이후 포카혼타스가 코코움과의 결혼을 꺼리자 포와탄 추장이 포카혼타스를 설득하기 위해 반복(reprise)되어 다시 한 번 등장한다.
