1. 개요

1964년 버밍엄에서 결성된 밴드.
프로그레시브/아트 록의 시초격인 밴드로 알려져 있으며, 오케스트라와 협연을 하거나, 멜로트론을 도입하는 등 최초로 록과 클래식을 결합시키는 시도를 한 밴드다.
1967년 발매된 음반 Days of Future Passed가 잘 알려져 있고, 수록곡중 Night In White Satin이 유명하다.
