1. 개요
리암 갤러거의 솔로 데뷔 앨범. 워너 뮤직과 계약하기 전 'Bold'와 'Greedy Soul'을 작곡한 상태에서 작업을 시작하였다고 한다. 'As You Were'는 군대식 용어로 '상관이 그 말을 했던 시 하던 일로 돌아가자' 라는 뜻을 담고 있으며,
[1] 굳이 대한민국 육군에서 이 단어와 비슷한 제식 동작을 찾자면 "편히 쉬어"정도가 되겠다
'내가 잘 하는 일, 로큰롤 스타로!' 라는 의미에서 이것을 앨범 타이틀로 정했다 한다.
2. 발매 되기 전
사실 음반이 발매되기 약 1년 반 전인 2016년 1월까지만 해도 리암은 솔로 음반에 대한 생각이 전혀 없었었다. 트위터를 통해 '
Solo records are you fucking tripping dickhead im not a cunt'라며 리암답게 솔로 데뷔는 안할거라고 말했지만 7개월만인 8월 25일 트위터에 '
It's official I'm a cunt'라고 글을 올림으로써(...) 솔로 데뷔를 할 것이라고 공식적으로 밝혔다.
한국 기준 2017년 6월 1일에 리드싱글 Wall of Glass가 공개되었다.
노래 자체에 대한 평도 괜찮고 성적도 준수하다. 전성기 때의 목소리를 거의 회복했다는 것이 공통적인 평. UK 싱글 차트 Top 40에 진입하여 최고 순위 21위를 찍었으며, 영국 아이튠즈 차트에서는 2위(!!)까지 올랐고 얼터너티브 록 장르 한정 1위도 달성했다.
Wall of Glass 공개 후 6월 30일, 싱글 앨범 수록곡들 중 하나인 Chinatown이 공개되었다. 나머지 곡도 추후 공개될 예정이라고.
8월 10일에 For What It's Worth이 공개되었다.
9월 27일,
Greedy Soul이 공개되었다.
10월 6일 정규 1집 앨범이 발매되었다. 국내 음원 사이트에서도 다운로드 가능하다.
3. 평가
현재 메타스코어 71점의 준수한 수치를 기록하고 있다.

평가는
비디 아이 때와 다르게 음악적 정체성을 가지면서, 여러 색깔의 색채를 담은 앨범이라는 호평이 주를 이루고 있다.
10월 13일 발매 첫 주에 '''UK 앨범 차트 1위'''를 달성하였다! 판매량도 발매 일주일만에 10만장을 넘기면서 영국음반산업협회(BPI)의 골드 인증을 받았고, 2017년 영국에서 가장 빠르게 팔린 앨범 3위를 기록하였다. 또한 해당 앨범의 바이닐 음반은 일주일 동안 1만 6천여장의 판매고를 올려 UK 바이닐 앨범 차트 1위를 달성한 것은 물론 지난 20년 간 가장 높은 주간 판매량을 기록한 바이닐 음반이 되었다.
12월 1일 기준 앨범 판매량이 20만장을 돌파하였고, 리드싱글인 Wall Of Glass가 BPI 실버 인증을 받았다.
NME Albums Of The Year 17에서 10위, Q Magazine’s Top 50 Albums of 2017에서 15위, Rolling Stone 50 Best Albums of 2017에서 37위(Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds의 'Who Built The Moon?'과 공동)에 랭크되었다.

기타와 하모니카 사운드로 강렬하게 시작되는 전형적인 로큰롤 스타일의 곡. 한국 기준 2017년 6월 1일에 공개되었다. 곡을 들은 네티즌들의 반응은 대부분 "목소리가 전성기때와 버금가는 수준이다" 는 것. 실제로도 리암 본인이 연습과 관리를 많이 했다고 밝힌 바가 있으니 라이브에도 비슷한 목소리를 기대중인 사람들이 많다. 뮤직비디오도 유튜브를 통해 공개되었는데, 뮤비의 컨셉은 리암이 유리와 거울로 가득찬 방에서 노래를 하는 것이다.

리암 본인이 말하길, 끊임없이 달리는, 분노에 관한 노래라고 한다. 5번 트랙의 FWIW가 지금까지 자신이 화나게 만든 사람들에게 바치는 곡이라면, Greedy Soul은 반대로 지금까지 자신을 화나게 한 사람들에게 보내는 곡이라고.
