한국에서는
두근두근의 BGM인 'Ode to My Family'란 곡으로 유명한
더 크랜베리즈의 1994년 2집 앨범 'No Need to Argue'에 수록된 곡이다. 인간이 인간에게 행하는 비인간적인 행위들, 그 사이에서 희생되는 아이들을 노래한
반전주의 성향의 곡이다. 직접적으로는
북아일랜드 독립군인
IRA가 1993년 3월 20일 아일랜드에서 벌인 폭탄 테러 사건과 거기서 희생된 3살, 12살 어린이의 죽음을 보고 점차 과격해지는 아일랜드 독립군의 폭력성에서 영감을 얻었다고 한다.
여기서 좀비는 바로 "인간 그 자신"을 의미한다. 또한 중간에 언급되는 1916년은 아일랜드 독립 무장 봉기인 '부활절 봉기'가 일어났던 해로 사실상 독립국
아일랜드로써의 역사가 시작된 해다. 즉 역사의 처음부터 끝까지 전쟁이라는 집념에서 벗어나지 못하고 있다는 뜻.
2020년 기준으로 조회수 10억을 돌파하며 유튜브 등장 이전 나온 노래 중 5번째로 높은 조회수를 기록하고 있다.
