핑크 플로이드의 두번째 싱글. 모두 시드 배릿이 작곡했다.
영국 싱글 차트 6위까지 진입해(미국은 134위), 핑크 플로이드가 최초로 히트를 친 싱글이다. 같은 시기 Arnold Layne 싱글과 묶어서 EP로 발매되기도 했다.
See Emily Play는 1973년 데이비드 보위가 리메이크 하기도 했으며, Arnold Layne처럼 정규 음반에는 수록되어 있지 않지만 여러 컴필레이션 음반에 수록되어 있다. Emily는 시드 바렛이 마약하고 숲에서 자다가 깼을때 만난 소녀라고 한다.
