제임스 브라운의 노래. 1970년 싱글로 발매되었다. 가사 중에 Get up을 '''게랍빠'''라고 발음하는 바람에 이쪽 이름으로 잘 알려져 있다. 라이트 노벨 풀 메탈 패닉에서 치도리 카나메가 흥이 나면 불러제끼는 레퍼토리 중 하나. 흔히 원제 대신 Sex Machine 이라고만 알려져 있다. 이 음악이 들어있는 앨범 이름이기도 하고 줄여서 대부분 그렇게 부른다.
이 곡이 대중음악사에서 차지하는 비중은 실로 엄청나다. 아예 멜로디 자체가 존재하지 않는, 반복되는 코드와 리듬 위주의 이 곡이 당시의 대중음악계에 가져다 준 충격은 실로 상당한 것이었다.
Mexican과 더불어 비보잉의 싸이퍼나 배틀등에서 빠지지 않는 클래식 명곡중 하나며, 펑크음악을 기반으로 하는 댄스인 락킹 퍼포먼스에서도 많이 쓰이는 편.

댄스 댄스 레볼루션 3rd MIX에서도 수록된바가 있다. 정확히는 당시 DDR이 판권을 산 댄스매니아 컴필에 수록된 TECHNOTRONIC의 커버버전. 아쉽게도 국내판에서는 판권문제로 인해 소수의 짤린곡이 되었다 지못미.
유재석이 이 TECHNOTRONIC판 겟업커버를 표절했다는 의혹(?)이 있다.
성룡이 영화 턱시도에서 커버했다. 유튜브 링크 무슨 말을 하는지 알아들을 수 없다는 댓글로 볼 때 본인이 부른 것으로 생각된다.
