에리얼 역의
시에라 보게스,
에릭 역의 션 팔머,
세바스찬 역의 티투스 버지스,
트라이튼 역의 놈 루이스가 노래를 불렀다.
작중에서 에리얼이 육지로 올라온 두번째 날이 저물고,
에리얼은
에릭에게 모든 것을 밝힐 수 있도록 시간이 더 있기를 바란다.
에릭은 여전히 자신을 구해주었던 여자를 찾고자 하지만 동시에 에리얼에게도 같은 마음을 느끼고 에리얼을 잃고 싶지 않은 마음 때문에 혼란스러워한다.
세바스찬은 에리얼이 인간으로 남아있을 수 있는 시간이 얼마 남지 않은 것에 걱정스러워하며 에리얼의 소원을 대신 들어주고 싶어한다.
트라이튼은 이틀 동안 돌아오지 않는 에리얼을 걱정하며 에리얼이 돌아오면 에리얼을 이해해보려고 노력하고 자신의 방식을 바꾸겠다고 다짐한다. 이후
우르슬라가 소멸한 뒤
에리얼과
트라이튼이 서로를 이해하며 화해하고 에리얼을 에릭에게 보내주는 장면에서 반복(reprise)되어 다시 한 번 등장한다.
